Sesame Bars

15 Mar

Dehydrator required.

This snack bar is a great way to bring food while traveling.

Its super healthy, tastes great, doesn’t need refrigeration, stores easily in a purse or backpack.

Sesame Bar

1 cup unhulled sesame seeds

1/4 c walnuts

1/8 cup raw honey

1/4 cup raisans or cranberries

approx 15 almonds

1  1/2 tbs sunflower seeds

1 1/2 tbs pumpkin seeds

Mix together thoroughly, the honey needs to mix well with the other ingredients because this will be the binder.

Place mixture on texflex sheet, form into square bar about 1/2 inch height.

Place in dehydrator for 24 hours.

Should still be pliable, but will hold together when eating.

Will harden further upon cooling.

Cut into 8 bars

We have a similar food back home, call it kozinaki (we make it with different seeds – it is so delicious!) Yummy, thanks!
