Arame Salad

Arame is my favorite seaweed. It have a subtle flavor, a deep blackish-green color, and strikingly beautiful when mixed with other brightly colored vegetables.

We had some family members over one night, some of whom are picky eaters. We made this salad and served it with butternut squash soup. They absolutely loved it and even went back for seconds.

This recipe is nutritious and takes only minutes to prepare.

Food processor required.


1 bag 1.76 oz of Organic Arame

2 carrots

1 cucumber

1 red bell pepper


Soak arame for 15 minutes in cool water. The arame will double in volume so make sure to use enough water. Rinse and drain.

In the meantime, shred carrots in processor.

Dice the cucumber and red bell pepper.

Mix together and serve with *Ginger Miso Dressing*. (see recipe previously posted)

It’s that easy.

Seaweed is a great source of both iron and calcium.
